  1. The LIC@IIMK has become one of the finest and best in class management information centers in the country, complemented with state-of-art technology supports to the users. It is a cornerstone that supports learning, teaching, and research activities.
     
  2. The Library is pleased to report the Elsevier Award for Best Usage Growth in Science Direct 2018, which was given away to IIMK in the 12th International CALIBER 2019 Conference at KIIT, Bhubaneswar on 29 November 2019.
     
  3. IIM Kozhikode has bagged the prestigious Wiley Libraries Award (2016), instituted first time in India, for the “Digitally Transformed Academic Library”. The award recognizes the overall robust technology integration of the information management strategies and services by the academic institutions in the country.  IIMK got selected from over 300 nominations received from the higher education academic institutions in the country (IITs/IIMs/NITs/IISERs/Central/State Universities).
     
  4. IIMK is the founder member of the IIM Libraries Consortium. The concept of IIM Libraries consortium was initiated in 2000 and the Consortium has successfully completed 19 years and is going strong with many new initiatives. Presently there are 20 IIMs as members of the Consortium (https://www.iimlibrariesconsortium.in/).
     
  5. In the Webometrics 2017 rankings (www.webometrics.info) which ranks top 20000 Universities/Institutions in the world based on their repositories presence in the Web, IIM KOZHIKODE stood 3rd among B-Schools in India. The Open Access Institutional Repository (http://dspace.iimk.ac.in) which accounted for IIMK’s Web presence in the world through Google Scholar (http://scholar.google.com) is rated among the best Indian B-Schools.
     
  6. The Center for Development of Digital Libraries (CDDL) of IIMK has emerged as a centre of excellence in the imparting of training programmes in the field of digital libraries, institutional repositories and ePublishing even at the international level.
     
  7. For the past 12 years, IIMK has been serving as the UNESCO Coordinator, Greenstone Digital Libraries Software Support for South Asia (http://greenstonesupport.iimk.ac.in/).
     
  8. The LIC’s information management strategies have bagged the American Society for Information Science and Technology (ASIST) International Paper Contest Award during 2005.
     
  9. IIMK is the Co-founder of the Management Libraries Network (MANLIBNET) in India and its membership is over 400 B-Schools in the country (http://www.manlibnet.in/).
     
  10. IIMK is a member of the Asia Pacific Business School Librarians’ Group (APBSLG) in which as of 2017 only 3 members are from India and the other two being IIMA and ISB (http://www.isb.edu/apbslg/).
     
  11. IIMK is an Expert Member in the “National Mission on Libraries” Working Group on Digitization of Libraries and Archives, constituted by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
