You can search articles through the EBSCO Discovery Services search button on the homepage of the LIC portal.
You can access HBR articles (Vol.1 to present) through the Business Source Ultimate database. You can also search Harvard Business Review through the Publications Search button in the LIC Portal.

LIC has access/subscription to several e-book collections. You can find the e-book collection details in the "E-books" menu on the right sidebar of the Resources A-Z List page on the LIC portal.
Users can read EBSCO/Proquest ebooks online directly from the LIC portal and search the ebooks through "EBSCO Discovery Service" search in the Home page.
To download/borrow the EBSCO/PROQUEST ebooks offline on your devices, users must first create an account with EBSCO/PROQUEST using their IIMK email and password. Then, they can download the ebooks offline using their login ID/Password and read them in the Adobe Digital Editions format.

LIC subscribes to Emerald E-cases. You can also access some case studies from WARC, Proquest One Business, Disruptor, Sage Research Methods, etc. You can access these services from the "E-resources A to Z List" section.

Yes, there are several different methods currently available for searching the Library's catalogs over the Internet. The Nalanda- Library and Information Centre (LIC) Portal also provides access to and information about these search methods.
Anglo-American Cataloging Rules (AACR-II) are be used for processing books.
LIC use the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC) to organize the books in the library.
Newly processed books will be kept reserved for three days for the privilege of recommender. After three days other users will be able to borrow the books, if they are available in the library.
Users will be able to see the list of new arrivals readily available in the library digital catalogue (Webopac).
Technical section will intimate the arrival of new books to the recommender after completing the technical processing. LIC used to circulate monthly list of new arrival books in the first week of every month.

Yes. You can borrow back volumes of serials/ magazines from library as per the approved Circulation Policy.
Yes. Students can recommend serials through their Area Chair. Other users can contact the librarian in this regard
No. You can have contact details of newspaper vendors from the concerned for personal subscription of newspapers.
PG students may borrow up to 15 books for 30 days.
PhD students may borrow up to 25 books for 60 days
The faculty members can borrow up to 50 books for 90 days.
The staff are entitled to borrow up to 25 books for 60 days.
Users can borrow three issues and magazines/journals for 14 days.
Fine on overdue items will be charged at Rs 2.00 per day per item for all users.

You are permitted to bring personal books inside the Library, provided those are stamped and certified as your personal book by the Library security.
Reference titles will not be issued to any user. However, the Librarian may consider allowing selected titles to faculty members, researchers and other needy users from case to case.

Faculty, staff and students can recommend books for LIC.
Students can recommend books (Non-textbook) worth up to Rs. 1000/-
If a student wishes to recommend a book costing more than Rs. 1000/-, it should be routed through a faculty.
After following all due approval processes, the LIC will place an order and get the reading material ASAP.
It depends upon the availability of the books. It may take 10-15 days if the book is available with our registered vendors; otherwise, the average procurement time is 4-8 weeks for foreign, out-of-stock, print-on-demand titles.
